Midterm Takehome

You have from the time you receive your cameras until the DUE DATE October 5, 2011 to complete this assignment.

Follow the "Seven Secrets" from Chapter 1 of the Levelle textbook.

On October 4 we will be screening these midterm take-homes.

IMPORT YOUR FOOTAGE INTO A Directory AND THEN 10 steps.

1. Project folder (yourlastname)_midterm

2. Open Final Cut Pro and save the file as (yourfirstname)_exam.fcp

3. Aim Capture scratch and render files at this folder.

4. Import your clips as *video only* and name them. Must have three camera angles, three distance proxemics, three camera movement kinetics.

5, 6, and 7. Make a movie!! Go crazy!

8. Make sure one clip at least is sped up and one slowed down.

9. Once it is put together, imagine a scenario and add titles that suggest a narrative.

10. Export as (yourfirstname)_exam.mov file and save in the folder on your hard drive.

Optional for bonus points: Add a voiceover and/or original music file.
